Good to know
- Tile now sells this model simply as “Tile”; Life360’s support pages list it as the Mate (2024).
- The battery can’t be replaced, so when it runs out after its stated life you replace the whole tracker.
- Tile works on both iPhone and Android, but uses its own network (Tile and Life360 app users) rather than Apple’s or Google’s. Finding an out-of-range Tile relies on another Tile/Life360 app user passing by.
- Tile trackers have no Ultra Wideband, so close-range finding is by ringing it rather than an on-screen arrow.
