Find the tracker that finds your keys
AirTag, Galaxy SmartTag2, Tile, Chipolo, Pebblebee, Eufy, moto tag and more — which ones work with your phone, how long the batteries last, and how to use them safely.
Which network works with your phone?
Item trackers are found by millions of nearby phones on one network. The network decides which phone you need — so check this before you buy.
| Network | iPhone | Samsung Galaxy | Other Android |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Find MyiPhone and iPad | Works | No | No |
| Google Find HubAndroid phones | No | Works | Works |

Some trackers — for example Chipolo POP, Pebblebee Clip 5 and Xiaomi Tag — can be set up on either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, one at a time. How the networks compare.

Got an alert about a tracker you don’t own?
iPhones and Android phones can warn you when an unknown tracker seems to be moving with you. It may be innocent — a borrowed bag, a friend’s keys — but take it seriously.
- Open the alert and use it to play a sound and find the tracker.
- Check whether it belongs to someone you’re with, then view its details.
- If you feel unsafe, contact the police — call 999 in an emergency.

Tracking a dog or cat?
Bluetooth tags only report a location when a phone on their network passes by, and Apple says AirTag is designed to keep track of belongings — not people or pets. For animals, look at collar-mounted GPS trackers with their own mobile connection (they need a subscription).
Holders, loops and mounts
Most tags need something to attach them: key rings, luggage-tag holders, wallet sleeves, hidden bike mounts and collar holders. We list the official ones and what to search for.
